TITLE:  Iowa 365, Marion County

 

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Iowa 365 begins in the unincorporated village of Tracy approximately four and one‑half miles north of the City of Bussey, and proceeds northerly approximately one and one‑half miles to old Iowa 92 approximately eleven miles southeast of the City of Knoxville.

 

Agreement number CR‑86, between Marion County and the Iowa Department of Transportation, transferred Iowa 365 from a point in the NE ¼ Section 25‑T75N‑R18W northerly to old Iowa 92 near the center of the NE ¼ Section 24‑T75N‑R18W to county jurisdiction on November 4, 1980.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended the commission approve deleting the present description of Iowa 365 in Marion County from the primary road system.

 

Remove Iowa 365 in Marion County as follows:

 

Beginning at a point in the NE ¼ of Section 25‑T75N‑R18W in the unincorporated village of Tracy; thence northerly and easterly through Sections 25 and 24‑T75N‑R18W to a point approximately 400 feet south of the center of the SE ¼ Section 24‑T75N‑R18W; thence northerly following substantially the east quarter section line through said Section 24 to a point near the center of the NE ¼ Section 24‑T75N‑R18W (junction Iowa 92).

DISCUSSION/BACKGROUND:

 

Due to a review of our Primary Road System Records, Iowa 365 in Marion County should be deleted and the new description added should be officially included into the Primary System.

 

PROPOSAL/ACTION RECOMMENDATION:

 

It is recommended that the old description of Iowa 365 in Marion County be deleted and the new description, as referred in the attached detailed description, be included in the Primary Road System effective upon the adoption of this resolution.

 

Locate Iowa 365 in Marion County as follows:

 

Beginning at a point in the NE ¼ of Section 25‑T75N‑R18W in the unincorporated village of Tracy; thence northerly and easterly through Sections 25 and 24‑T75N‑R18W to a point approximately 400 feet south of the center of the SE ¼ Section 24‑T75N‑R18W; thence northerly following substantially the east quarter section line through said Section 24 to a point near the center of the NE ¼ Section 24‑T75N‑R18W (junction Iowa 92).
